Surely more sponsor logos will appear or feature differently once the ciggy/better tomorrow logos are removed for the actual race livery?

I didn’t say no sponsors, just rather light. Coke isn’t a new deal for them.

Coke logo is small and not in corporate colours.
Might be just free vending machines and all the coke you can drink for the factory and on circuit crew

It looks quite lovely from the side behind the cockpit - two neat, straight lines along the top and an uncluttered sidepod.

It's a customer deal with no marketing deal, like Racing Point's was, hence no logos.

Are major lead sponsers a thing of the past?

Quite possibly. Late last year, MSP Sports Capital bought a 15% stake in McLaren, which will rise to 33% next year. The consortium is made up of a hedge firm subsidiary and a private investment firm. This type of arrangement could be more common than just one big commercial sponsor.
In McLaren's case, of course, it has a division (McLaren Automotive) which is very profitable.
Teams desire more secure long-term arrangements than a title sponsor which is at the whim of capricious economic shifts and sudden decisions by commercial board members.

There are still enough sponsors. McLaren do look good with their livery though. Nice orange and Blue, with plenty of good signage on it. Hopefully they can do enough on the track to be up there. I'm sure they will, quite a few podiums will come their way I am sure
Hopefully the team can keep stability in terms of it's higher up staff, but it's good to have extra money coming in for now. Hopefully it will be enough to get the results they need on the track. Teams need extra funding in this current climate

Vacuous speculation time commences. I'll take part anyway. McLaren are going to win this year. They've been on the up and up and with Ricciardo bringing a little of bounce, they'll have a spring in their step. He will pull off a win, probably with some super on-the-edge move.
Bring on the other launches.

Delete the cryptic (meaningless?) "A Better Tomorrow"s, and you are not left with much in the way of sponsors. It is a modern interpretation of HRTs 2nd livery, where there was loads of "Your Logo Here" stickers that at first glance made it look like the team had picked up plenty of backing.
It's not just McLaren - many of the other teams are the same as well.
I think the car looks OK. Much the same as last year in terms of livery.

Isn't that a bit like saying 'delete a team's major/title sponsor and they don't have a major/title sponsor'?
You could just as easily say 'delete petronas from Mercedes', or 'BWT from Racing Point'.

They've got plenty of sponsors, 35, or partners as they like to call them these days. Obviously there is BAT, who are McLaren's Global Partner with their "A Better Tomorrow'' logo; a better tomorrow for its consumers, shareholders, society and employees and no doubt for McLaren. If you go to this page https://www.mclaren.com/racing/partners/ on their website, there's an interactive list of their partners.

Why is Alfa Romeo's launch on Feb 22 in Warsaw?
