RobertPrange should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
The best way to make a 24h event miss international attention....

...make it clash with Le Mans

24h Nürburgring 2006 date announced

Great. This happened in 2004 as well....Guys like Lucas Luhr, Mike Rockenfeller, Uwe Alzen, Marc Lieb, Sacha Maassen, Jorg Muller, Hans Stuck, Phil Bennet, Elton Julian, etc would probably like to do both races, now they can't!

Without works entries from BMW, Opel and Audi, is the Nurburgring 24hr's anything more than a glorified club race?

I'm not sure it is aiming for anything more. Although I am also sure it doesn't see the expression as disparaging. The event is still an event almost immaterial of entrants - as long as they get the usual four zillion! It will make a difference to how much coverage it gets because the teams won't have the manufacturers PR machine behind them. However the cars will still be interesting and diverse and it will still take place on the circuit!

However it is still stupid, some want to go to both

I'm sure Radio Le Mans will keep us updated though

There are many high quality teams with interesting cars , even without the works entrys. The competition level is like Britcar , maybe a little higher. And with a much larger field of course.
