vauxhall third car or even fourth?
With Egg possibly out of the equation in 2003 and Honda in the equation with an extra car, will Vaux have an extra VXmotorsport car or find someone to sponsor to sponsored VXmotorsport cars? Any news on this?

Triple Eight want to run more than two cars and are looking at various options, including Egg. Whether or not this will actually happen I have no idea - I'll tell you when we get to Mondello!

They wouldn't have a problem running a third car i think, cos they managed to do it in 2000 when costs were far more than they are now. However i think it would be more likely they'd look for another egg type sponsor to run two seperate cars.

Vauxhall may instruct that they only want 888 concentratng on the two works cars as they are expecting to be pushed hard by Honda, and maybe MG.

I'm not sure Vauxhall will want to keep owy in a works car, I know he'd good on his day and he is a decent guy etc... but the fact is he fell short of the mark set by the other guys at the team, and bennetts mark from 2001. He seemed a bit tamed, he is talented but I'm not sure whether he is the right man for a works Vauxhall.
I'd like to see someone Like Kelvin Burt return, but he did turn down a works seat with Vauxhall recently. |

Could Tom Ferrier be tempted back into the BTCC? It would be good to see if the ETCC has made him a more complete driver.

He could be if the right drive came along but I don't see Vauxhall wanting him after the mess up from last year.
Give Dan Eaves a seat there, he has been impressive over the last 2years and I'm sure he wouldn't fail. |

Goes against the grain but Norman Simon is a hell of a driver, he has all the credentials to be in the Tourers.

I hope Ferrier gets a seat next year. Potentially with the Beacon Alfa?

Third or fourth car? Isn't it looking more and more likely there will be SIX cars. And possiby even eight if all the stars aline properly??
There's the 2 official ones, 2 satellite (Egg or Atomic ones), plus the ones sold already privateers and finally one still up for grabs? Does Vauxhall have a 3rd (backup) car? |

I think what Sim meant was would the actual red and white liviried Vauxhall Motorsport team be running 3 or more cars.

VMS may have a third car if egg don't run, but otherwisw I think we'll have same format to this year.
Will barwell stick with their Astras? although it indicates they will, there has been no confirmation. |

Aren't Gary Ayles after the 2002 Astra's. They could be the 3rd and 4th cars.

GA have 2 Astra. We are talking about Triple Eight running a 3rd and 4th car, as they did with Egg Sport this year.

Barwell are considering ditching the Astra's and going for some Mg's so even if egg turn up we may still ahve 6, if they don't 4. But if all vauxhall interest aligns then there will be 8.
