Motorstv should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
V8 Full Coverage On Motors Tv

Hi There,

I guess you'll enjoy the following news !

Frédéric VIGER
Head of Programming
Motors TV

Motors TV and AVESCO today signed a three year contract to bring Australian V8 Supercars to an unprecedented level of coverage over Europe.

As per the deal Motors TV will broadcast all 13 rounds of the V8 Supercars over its 13.5 million households and 26 countries network in Europe in English, French and German languages.

Races will be shown in their entirety and on a same day delayed basis for most of them, LIVE for selected events including the world famous “Bathurst 1000”.

“It’s a major deal for Motors TV“, says Head of Programming & Acquisitions Frédéric Viger, “ V8 Supercars have proved to be one of the channel’s hottest property since 2001 and attracts a wide audience, including lots of Australian expatriates. Due to the large time difference, we won’t be able to show all races live, but we are committed to show all of them in full, bringing over 60 hours worth of real Australian motorsport flavour to our viewers.”

Apart from the longest races like Sandown and Bathurst, all V8 week-ends include races on Saturday and Sunday, both will be shown on a same-day basis.

Australia Vee Eight Supercar Company (AVESCO) Chairman Tony Cochrane said the Motors TV deal added further weight to the enormous international television coverage of V8 Supercar racing.
“Our sport has significant recognition and reach throughout the world. This significant partnership increases our international television audience to 70 countries and brings V8 Supercars into more than 500 million homes globally,” Mr Cochrane said. “This is the dawn of a new era in a sport that has shown the largest growth of any in Australia.”

With more than 14 million viewers ‘down under’ in Australia, the V8 Supercar Series attracts 1.5 million spectators over the 13 rounds, is broadcast to 70 countries across the world and is now available to viewers on Channel 10 Sports satellite channel.

The television coverage, sourced through Network Ten in Australia, is packed with high speed and adrenaline, all superbly captured by in-car cameras, innovative angles and live pit lane interviews as each race unfolds.

A staggering growth curve has prompted the series management AVESCO to expand into the global sports landscape. The series will race in Shanghai this year followed by an event in the Middle East in 2006.

It is the third most watched sport in Australia behind Australian rules football and cricket.

The season starts on March 19th in Adelaide, and runs through November 27th with a 13th and final round in Phillip Island.

Bear in mind Motors TV is not a rich company and is probably in automation overnight.
