OOPS, my bad; the spell check must have missed that. [almost a Transformers moment: no sorry, that was Optimus Prime ..... if only someone would start a financial services company called Megatron]

And Chatters, thanks for the compliment, but Mr Cranker was my Father.

Megatron was a financial services company, originally a computer leasing firm, it was part of the USF&G group, which purchased the BMW 1.5 turbo F1 engines, and prepared/supplied them to Arrows amongst others. A BMW Megatron engine was always a rocket... until it blew up

And McConville is officially soft. 1.07 around Oran in an F3 is snoozin'. Besides being half a second quicker than the V8 pole time he was 2-3 seconds off the current F3 pace.

one thing i have noticed, some could say "learned", is that the amount of time "The Punter" has spent on "a holiday" has surely been that long that it must be more than just "a holiday"...

Hey Pecky, as I've said before, grow a sense of humor, or don't log on.

Mate, life is too short to be so bitter & twisted all the time.

Great to see the new Aussie Drifting Champ (elect) heading to his home track of Mallala with such a commanding points lead.

Perhaps some more of the mainstream motor-sports community need to show drifting a bit more credence. Good to see MN giving it a run.

I enjoy watching drifitng, before I went to one I just thought that drifters
were drivers who sere **** in a straight line, but I flagged at a drift meeting at Winton and had the oppourtunity for a ride. I took it, and I'm glad, the driver was a gun, even in the wet (started drizzling a bit.) To hold the car at the angles he did was abso-****ing-lutly brilliant.

For anyone who is interested there is drifting at Winton this Saturday, I think that its a rock up and drive jobbie, but I'm not entirely sure of that.

Oh, peckstar, this makes 1,2,3, I count $ motorsport posts now. Getting better!!

now kiss and make up.

anyway i might get back to the topic, i learnt from enews Murph in the video on the contents page looked more like he was trying to break into the car rather then put the finishing touch on it.

Paul Morris and Russell Ingall showed up on Sunday flying in in the Sirromet chopper. Russell was due to have a demo run in the 7L V8 Monaro of Bolger, but it didn't end up happening. I believe it was going to be part of the Castrol Edge promotion that's on at the moment. Ben Bray did some demos in his drag/burnout ute, and Castrol also had a couple of Drag cars on display. A couple of years ago Warren Luff had a go in the FPV DRIF6 Falcon and promptly stuck it into the wall at Turn 3.....maybe Russell thought better of it?

Was a decent crowd out there, and not all youngun's in their fully sick kitted cars either, plenty of Utes and V8s in the crowd, and both guys and girls out there enjoying the spectacle.

I wonder if Crabman can do a three-peat at Mallala..... just wish I was there to see it if he does.

I used to read MN with a passion, but I think the passion is waning a little of recent times, because I flick through it at 200kp/h these days, and it has to be something significant to grab my attention to enlarge it to read it, and V8's aren't something significant these days IMHO.

24 posts, most about the each other, others off topic (there was a topic?), don't really see the point.
