Mr Ralliart should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Looking for Ex Kerry Cox / Dick Johnson / Colin Bond XU1 Torana.

Hi .

I was just wondering if anyone out there in forum land would possibly have any leads as to where this car might be ?
My father is Kerry Cox and we would love to find it . We have many fond memories of this car .

Cheers.

Anthony, are you still guessing along the lines that the car was converted to road use and may have been written off.

Hi Pete .
There are so many stories as to what happened to it . One theory is that it was converted to a road car which is what the buyer from Dad originally hinted at .But we've also heard that he'd crashed it ( not badly) in unofficial practice at Lakeside although since he was from Mackay ( or Rockhampton ) , that seems a little unlikely . Also we've heard that it's still being raced . The fact that it's proving elusive would seem to point to it having been put on the road , but again , I don't know .

Any ideas ?

My memory has faded quite a bit but i think a bloke called Kerry Finn had an XU.1. Not sure where he got it from though.

Details

Kerry...did your Dad record the body number etc....does have the log book?

If not, then CAMS may be able to help with these details to do a rego check...at least that way you might be able to exclude road cars.

There's a Kerry Finn that races in Prod sports (MX5 Cup) here in Qld, if he's running this weekend I'll ask him...

Sultan, i'm pretty sure it is the same Kerry Finn. As i said my memory is not that good about it but no harm in asking him.

Spoke to Kerry yesterday, his Torana was originally a road car he converted himself, which is now owned by the Jackson's. So that one is a bit of a dead end....

Good to catch up with him again, he certainly had the eyes on yesterday on the track, we had some great racing...

Anthony, who bought the car from Kerry? Might help somebody remember a bit more.
