McLaren - good to see the team had so many fans in attendance. Lando going great guns, up there on pure pace and Dani Ric looking like he might be coming out of the fog.

I think two teams did exceptionally well, getting as much out of both drivers and the car as could be expected - Ferrari and Mercedes. Kudos.


I don't think McLaren really did best as a team, as that crucial quali doesn't seem to happen for DR, but I will give the vote to McLaren anyway.

Realistically Red Bull did everything right so should claim it, but I certainly tip my hat to McLaren for producing a car (and signing a driver!) that was so capable of fighting for the podium place. And heartfelt commiserations to Williams for coming so close to getting into the points - again courtesy of a great driver, but the team are definitely advancing!

You said it all for me. McLaren seem to be bucking the trend by being a once dominant team that fell to the back and are now climbing back towards the front. Lotus, BRM, Brabham and Tyrell couldn’t do that, and we’re still waiting for Williams.
