Yeah, both the Megane and the WRX STI have a longer wheelbase than the rest of the field but - and it could have just been my imagination - the Renault looked so much more agile than the Subaru.

It really annoys me that there is a limitation in entries. I don't understand why there is one either. Would be fun to watch Oliver Solberg and Tobias Johansson in Höljes.

Great to be able to watch all the qualifying live again this weekend. Was I the only one who was a bit frustrated by the racing this weekend though? Unlike last season, there are at least two teams out there that have the cars and drivers capable of challenging the Polo, but none of them seem to be able to get things right.

Timmy Hansen seems to be cursed, yet another incident that wasn't his fault and another podium snatched from him. In terms of pace I think Timmy should be challenging for the lead of the Championship, instead he is down in sixth. Second to sixth in the Championship split by just 10 points though, the real battle this year looks to be who is going to take second, as Kristoffersson looked absolutely flawless on track this weekend.

Interesting footnote from the TV coverage is that Munnich has now switched to a front mount radiator setup in the Ibiza. That's three cars with a front mount setup now, I wonder if that trend will continue to become more widespread in the Supercars?

Was there any explanation of why he missed the joker lap? Should you really need a spotter to tell you to joker on the last lap if you haven't done one already?

It is the sort of dumb thing I would do but seeing a legend like Loeb make a mistake like that was just bizarre.

Does seem odd to think of a driver as experienced as Loeb forgetting it, but when he is concentrating on racing perhaps it is easier done than we think.

He isn't the first one to do it though and I very much doubt he will be the last.

They said on the commentary he would not be concentrating on the last lap board, so would need the spotter to tell him

New version of the Peugeot 208 will hit the track in Sweden:

I personally think the current 208's look like a match for the Polo, an even quicker car might (finally) put PSRXVW on the back foot.

Don't know if it's because of the move inhouse but Peugeot made a step forward.

Did they do engine development for WRC inhouse before?

Don't think that Hansen cars have ever used Pipo engines, I can only ever recall seeing Oreca mentioned with their cars (at least as far back as the C4's).

I think M-Sport or Petter were the first to go to Pipo for a rallycross engine?

So another win for Johan and another penalty for Ekstrom. If the contact with Hansen was an isolated event, I'd be inclined to view it as a racing incident. But considering what happened at Barcelona and everything he has done since, I am definitely seeing Ekstrom as a rather dirty driver this year.

Mattias always talked about "winning with respect". Perhaps the pressure of Audi Sport backing (and the need for results) is the cause for more aggressive driving?

Gutted for Petter, really thought he had a shout at victory. Looked like Timmy slowed with an issue at the end? I hope Peugeot can get that car sorted so someone can knock the Polo off the top step. Kristoffersson is a deserving champion, but Timmy has race winning pace and I want to Johan have to fight someone for the title!
