moto x star breaks back....

 During the 250cc Motocross GP race of Bulgaria on 7th June 2003 Pit Beirer crashed and suffered injuries to his back and lungs. He was airlifted directly off the circuit to a hospital in Sofia and then later in the night to a clinic in Germany specialising in spinal trauma. Pit is out of immediate danger but severe damage to his spinal cord means that he is unlikely to regain the use of his legs. His condition is stable and he will remain in an induced coma with the use of respirators for the next three days to allow the lung damage to heal. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at KTM Europe. Pit is 30 years old and the father of one child. He came 2nd in the 250cc World Championship in 1999 and third in 2000 and 2002. |
