Uploaded some pictures from Loheac this morning, few of my faves:
Not unusual to see six cars together in a rallycross final, but pretty cool to see them so close at the end of the race. Lots more shots here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/229616...57701279078175 For anyone who might be interested! |

Love the retros - good to see the 205 T16 cars in rallycross trim Were they 'on it' or was it just demo runs at reduced speed? There looks to have been a really good variety of cars in that lot.

The Alamaki replica was driven by Philippe Tollemer and he seemed to have a pretty good handle on the car by Sunday afternoon. Philippe was driving a 6R4 at Loheac last year and he was great to watch in that, so he seems fairly adept with Group B cars! |

So Latvia this weekend. If Kristoffersson takes it then that is surely the 2018 title decided. Doran back in the Megane again, going to be be interesting to see how he does in Riga. Don't think he has driven the circuit before? |

Story on SpeedactionTV.be that I cannot quite understand, maybe someone on here can translate it, but from the comments looks like the article is talking of the the Belgium WRX round being at Spa in 2019 rather than Mettet? Its a bit confusing as IMG are not mentioned but WRC are, but World Rallycross is mentioned rather than World Rally. It does mention they are "Rumours" rather than based on any facts. But IMG have a track record of taking the events away from Rallycross Tracks to F1 Circuits. Struggling to think where they could build an RX track at Spa with all those elevation changes either side of the F1 circuit, though I think they had a Motorcross track behind the F1 start straight Grand Stand a few years back. So if true, maybe it will be a completely separate circuit to the F1 track.

Yep it appears to be true. Autosport.be are now also reporting it based on their own source. |

There is no history of rallycross ever being at Spa.
But thst kind of nonsense is right up IMG's alley, Pathetic |

If Eau Rouge isn't there, it's worthless.

I'd be worried that they'd squeeze a tight and rubbish circuit in the run off by the bus stop chicane. Or, from memory of racing games, by the Karting track at turn 15.

Carlos (can't remember his last name), a former FIA delegate, actually demanded that cars should have badges so that they could be recognised by fans. This was however never realized. |

Liam Doran confirmed at GCK for the last two rounds of the season with Anton Marklund joining the team in a third car:

Agreed - the Megane hasn't been into that many finals this season but you have to wonder how much is car and how much is driver. Getting Doran in will test the strength of the car, getting Marklund in should give you an indicator of the pace of the car

I think anyone would be fast witht he miles both of them have done in supercars.
they are not massively hard to drive on tracks like this. And they ahve years of experience, the pair of them, the previous two did not really in WRX terms. Marklund has been around for 10 or so years, is massively wealthy and Doran the same. I would prefer new drivers, new talent, young talent. |

Grønholm and Hyundai needs one or two more experienced drivers, the car seems to be promising. Imagine what a boost a team player like Solberg could do.
