there's a connection there for the future of the Spyker GT programme. that's just a hint.

I think the engine in the C8 Laviolette GT2R will be 4.0L and not 3.8L. This is what I found in the Speedy Racing Team pressrelease:

Spyker Laviolette GT2R: with better aerodynamics, modifications on the chassis, an engine up to 4’000cc with increased power, it becomes very aggressive!

And the drivers for the coming season:

Spyker Squadron
#85 Spyker Squadron - HOL - Spyker C8 Laviolette GT2R - Tom Coronel (HOL) & Peter Dumbrek (SCO)
#86 Spyker Squadron - HOL - Spyker C8 Laviolette GT2R - Ralf Kelleners (GER) & Alexei Vassiliev (RUS)

Speedy Racing
#94 Seedy Racing Team - SUI - Spyker C8 Laviolette GT2R - Andrea Chiesa (SUI), Philippe Camandona (SUI) & Benjamin Leuenberger (SUI)

And the new C8 Laviolette GT2R will make it's debut at the Geneva car show?

There was an article or a post somewhere that said that Mike Hezemans had replaced Tom Coronel

Coronel will also mis the test at Paul Ricard and Le Mans because he has to race in the WTCC.

Good to see you on this thread as well!

I'm very curious about the engine's new sound, heard rumours it will be screaming like a Ferrari. Shame...

Satorian has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
I wouldn't mind having the Spykers scream away, from P1 and P2.

The old topless versions proved they could do it

As did the topped versions at Le Mans 2006, both of which lead for quite some time

Does Kelleners have LM experience? (thought he drove the factory Panoz in 2005 or 2006)

With the FIA WTCC racing at Brno the same weekend as Le Mans takes place I think one can take out Coronel there...

Does he what !!! He has plenty .

Panoz's and Porsche's at Le Mans .

So the line up may be Dumbrek-Kelleners-Vasiliev then .

Why use Hezemans when they already have a full squad of drivers ?

Vasiliev is the money man of the team I presume , so he certainly gets a drive .

Coronel may be busy , as posted in a previous post .

Dumbrek and Kelleners are both signed for them , so I would expect Dumbrek-Kelleners-Vasiliev will be their choice .

I'd rather use Hezemans instead of Vasiliev because Hezemans is quicker and more consistent. Although the Squadron put a lot of effort in to make the Spyker better, i think it will still be off the pace compared to the frontrunners. Porsche will probably put all worksdrivers in the three Porsches and most likeley will prepare the cars themselves as well. The Ferrari's are also very strong. If Spyker wants to have a chance they must,in my opinion, use the strongest possible line-up. If Vasiliev is the money man than he's probably going to drive but i don't know what the deal with him is. Maybe he was only scheduled to do LMS or he was contracted to drive in the second workscar, the #86 Spyker that's now on the reservelist.

Here's the deal,

http://www.planetlemans.com/2007/12/...ing-agreement/

do you think it would exclude Le Mans? no way! There's a reason why you have 2 works Spykers on the list (one of the as reserve). The Badger's bet on the line-up is a very strong one imho....

We're talking Le Mans 24 Hours, the driver list for the race is not there yet. I assume you looked at the LMS list but let me know if I am wrong.
