NWFF 37 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
BTCC Paul O'neill???

Anyone know if Paul Oneill will make a come back in BTCC, i was quite impressed with his performances for coming into racing late and teaming up with the likes of Neal, Muller and Thompson...??

Last I heard he was giving Fiona Leggate tips with the Tech-Speed ride.

Wild rumour country said he might be out in a second Tech-Speed Astra later in the year, but no further on that recently.

I would love to see Owy back in the BTCC,its a real shame he hasn't got a drive this year. IMO he did a better job at VX then Luke Hines and Gavin Smith put together.

Absolutely, i didnt think he would cut it, just goy in because of his famous sister, but definatley stood up to Thompson and Muller alot better than Hines and Smith.

I think people overrate Paul somewhat. In his first Touring Class season he was well behind Muller, Thompson and Neal most of the time, and was only a bit closer in 2003. He's a reasonable driver but not a spectacular one.

He had a personality though, something which his successors lack.

Like i say, at first i doubted his ability, but he proved me and probably alot of other people wrong.

Superstar, no but good solid consistant performances made him a good touring car driver and a better team player than his successors IMO.

It was good to see him win because he proved with hard work, if you get the break, you can do it

Like some have already said, he wasn't a world-beater, but he certainly did well for someone with only a few seasons of racing behind him.

Tech Speed ran Owy in the production class in 2001, and Marvin Humphries has made no secret of the fact that he would like to run him again in the BTCC, should finances allow it.
