So GCC Sherlock got it right! No 4 valve engines, which is significant. No sign of any other info on the web yet......

SPORTSCAR 2000
"This brand new international historic series for 1961-71 two-litre cars features 1300, 1600 and 2000 classes and, by excluding four-valve machines, provides a showcase that allows smaller-engined but highly exciting racing cars such as Porsche 904 and 906, Chevron B8, Lotus 23B, Abarth and Alfa Romeo TZ, to race against each other on a hugely entertaining and competitive ‘level playing field".

GCCheddaris should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Elementary my dear .....Bell ! Sounds similar to the original regs for the HSCC's Guards Trophy championship with FVA/C engines forbidden but allowing slightly later cars such as the Chevron B16 so long as they are BMW powered . Be nice to see some of the rarely seen ( in the U.K. ) cars such as Abarths and Alfa Romeo TZs etc.

Well I looked at Pre63 GT as a target to get my car finished tested and out to race, but, unless its just me, the entry fee's are astronomical. basically the same price as the entry fee for the three hour at Spa. . . . which one might argue would be better value if I retired after 61 minutes!

If you read Zef’s posts on winter projects you’ll know.

Joe, I’ve looked at a few entry fees for the larger organisers this season and they’re frightening. A case of research and careful selection, which I know you’re quite capable of!

TBH I'm not sure a TT is posh enough ;-)

It's also an issue of locations and dates . . . fitting stuff in around other commitments, and somewhere you actually want to go!

Unfortuantely it seems that the 'Sportscar 2000 race has been cancelled due to the latest Timetable not featuring the grid.No other info but I imagine low entries or time.

Anybody received any provisional entry lists as yet?
I know entrants normally get them before they are published on websites etc?

I've not received any entry lists yet, even for GTSCC, James. I'm wondering if MSV have taken over issuing.....

Sorry I can't get the link as on my phone.

No problem, When the HSCC ran the event all the entry lists were on their site! https://hscc.org.uk/wp-content/uploa...y-List-DHF.pdf

32 cars, 25 of which are E Types. Disappointing but that’s the way the series went, maybe inevitable with all the cars from the previous ‘E Type Challenge’.....

Thanks Mike, yes I wonder if MSV manage the admin side now but normally MRL publish their own entries also?

The entries if down to MSV will be on the MSVR website.

MSVR-Cars Section-Calendar.

Usually entries appear from Tuesday onwards.

Thanks. Yes, appreciate that they will eventually appear there, but the question was if any lists (particularly the HTCC & TD Trophy for James ) were available now... Apart from the Jag Challenge you spotted, the answer seems to be no....

Seems to be a bit low on entries compared to last year.

Some good grids still though.

Not decided if 356 goes to Donington
Gang are taking Elite so will see what time is available this week to complete 356 preparation.
Idea is to race Alta with Michael Birch’s Elite and Talbot.
Team are concentrating on Elva for Spa and Talbot for Donny.
