The photo of the Mustang is a green car with central white and yellow stripe. Can't remember who drove it.It can be seen on the video - Motor Racing 60s style - 1967 in the saloon race supporting the Race of Champions.

The green Mustang with white & yellow stripes, I feel it could be Aussie Bryan Thomson who raced in the UK and Europe around 1967 or 1968.
Can someone correct me please if I am wrong.
Thanks.

Bryan Thomson Mustang

The photo that "Racing Fox" posted earlier is the Bryan Thomson Mustang that he raced in the UK for a season before returning with it to Australia.

A colour slide of the Mustang can be seen at my website:- www.drive/beechey

The car was the ex-Norm Beechey car which won the 1965 Australian Touring Car Championship. It was the first Mustang to win anywhere in the world, so it is claimed.

My site is dedicated to preserving amateur Australian motor racing photographs from the 1960's and early 1970's, particularly colour slides. I am encouraging people to place their own, personally shot images on the site for all to enjoy. It can be an on-track shot or just a pit or paddock shot. They don't have to be perfect as blurred and scratched images are still worthwhile. The site is at: www.drive.to/beechey

Bryan Thomson Mustang

Thanks Andrew for your kind remarks. I don't suppose you have(or know of)other photos of Bryan Thomson's Mustang when it was racing in the UK in 1967???

Thanks,
Chris.

No Chris, but will keep my eyes open. I often come across old copies of 'Autosport'.

Being a Bryan Thomson "fan" from way back. I thought it was "thommo's" pic that racingfxgt posted. I'll have another look at your site.

What...no export brace???? Webers on a 289 has got to be the ultimate tin top power plant. I have been blown away by all the 60-70s saloon photos posted recently. As a huge Mustang fan...keep them coming!
