We paid our respects up at Brittens it was eerie up there, have never known Oulton Park be so quiet and it just shows how much respect there is for the loss of two greatly respected sportsmen.

Must also say what a sad day today has been following the most tragic death of Marco Simoncelli. RIP #58.

Havoc,Mayhem and Good marshaling

We had an 'eventful' day at Druids, with Porsche No 71 visiting us on 3 occasions leaving various bodywork parts at our location. Then a FFord losing a rear wheel and hub brought out the Red flags as he had come to rest in a dangerous position at the edge of the track opposite the 'out' flag position. Then a return to 'propper' marshaling as the team pushed out a Lotus from the gravel on a live track without me requesting a safety car. The clerks must have thought........car in gravel..deploy safety car as they wont get that out!!...........Big oops there me thinks........

A great day's marshaling at Druids well done everyone and especially to Haydn Clover -congratulations on your upgrade.

At 1.00pm we stood in silence at the edge of the track, heads bowed to mark our respects to Dan Wheldon and Bernard Baxter.
