Ouch. He must have hit something very very hard, or at a very strange angle to break the tob like that. It looks like a clean break... very strange...

Wow! looks like they forgot to screw it together!
How could you ever get your confidence back with your car after something like that? agree, very very strange. |

Is that a genuine picture? I'd be surprised at an impact that can cut through the safety cell but leave the driver's legs and the left barge board.

It looks very suspicious.
It seems to me the car was not as well put together by its current owners as it should be, as it should not shear apart like that. The same chassis design stood up very well when Schumacher crashed at Silverstone. |

Allegedly this is the very car from Silverstone repaired and sold to the Dutch importer who crashed it last week in the States - thats what you get for your million quid - a very lucky escape - the next demo by this customer fleet is at Donington for Big Red I believe

I find it weird that they had cut the tub like that
and still let it go on a race track! |

Maybe he pressed the accelerator to hard and the car broke in 2?

Hmm, looks like a repaired tub which has split exactly where it was repaired. If I was the owner of that car I would be livid! If it is the ex Schuey '99 Silverstone car then Ferrari have a lot of questions that need to be answered...

That is nmothing short of ludicrous. How can anyone let that car go out on track?
Who will have carried out the repairs? |

Looks a bit dubious, almost as if he's posing for the picture. It might not be, but it looks a setup.

This guy, as rich as he must be, surely deserves a trade in for a "new" F2002! what a joke!! carbon tubs that have been repaired should never see a race track! I'd be wanting my money back....
what where Ferrari thinking by ever selling a damaged tub??? the impact was very very minor! just look at the damage to the nose! you could have snapped this in half over the curbs at monza its that shonk! I wonder what the official ferrari team members at the track had to say when they saw this damage???? hmmmm.... |

Apparently it's not the Schumacher Silverstone 99 car.
This crashed car was chassis #193. Here's the history of the chassis at Silverstone Chassis #193 99/Jul/3 1.03.253 Fiorano, shake down 7 laps T-car for the British GP Badoer Chassis #192 99/Jul/11 accident, lap 1 air 23 C, track 40 C British GP Schumacher 3 If this is correct...the question is: How did it break this way so easy! |

Yep, Schumacher's accident was in 192.
193 raced later in 1999 also. This car has clearly been tampered with in non-Ferrari hands. A monocoque is, as the name suggests, one piece. It wouldn't fall apart at low speeds like that in normal circumstances. |
