Valker should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Dansk Metal Formula Ford Festival

The Danes will have their own Formula Ford festival in Padborg Park in 20 September. The festival is also the final round of North European Zone (NEZ) FF.

Dansk Metal FF Festival follows the format of Brands FFF. There are qualifying in two groups, two heats, last chance race, semifinal and final.

They allows all sorts of FF cars: Duratecs, Zetecs and even Kents... As fas as I know, all three classes race together.

The Danish FF Festival doesn't seem to be a huge success. Only 15 participants.

Jesper K. Egebart was fastest in qualifying. Antti Buri, the current NEZ points leader, was 4th. The NEZ title seems to go to Buri as Mäkelä was 10th and Kivinen 13th... Mäkelä seems to be driving his Van Diemen Zetec instead of Mtec. Kivinen has changed from a Zetec powered car to a brand new Van Diemen Duratec.

Mäkelä did drive the Mtec, it is wrong on the timing sheets.

Even though only 15 drivers turned up, the still produced great racing, Dennis and Jesper battled for the lead thoughout all 3 races, and the next 4-5 drivers was very close indeed.

Oh, ok. So where there any other Zetecs than Per Stenius and do you know if he was running on ethanol or petrol?

Per was the only Zetec (no Zetecs have run in the Danish series this year) and running ethanol E85. I am not a 100% sure as I did'nt speak to him, but the car was marked E85 according to the Danish rules.

Nope. Mäkelä is 5th most common name in Finland...

Per Stenius has his race report online here: http://www.s2i.info/index.php/news/b...s-ff-nez-title
