Sandgroper should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Why not release 2 x RECs to the market.
Its seems as if there isnt enough to go around now.
28 car fields would be good, however is there enough financial capacity to support 2 more ?

Whilst 28 cars would be look good, most of the circuits cant handle 28 cars, to tight, no passing ,unless dive bomb, a bit of follow the leader etc, has been covered before.

The other area that comes up is sponsorship. Hark back to the early days of AVESCO, the cameras only looked at the first, (five cars in a race-race leaders,), sponsors want to see there names on Tv.
Some will say, well get a good package and you will be up front.
Sponsorship dollars are harder to come by for a small place like Aust.

Four national football codes .
Coverage from Feb to October, and summer for Soccer
Tennis, Golf , Netball, Basketball, Horse Racing and more.
Coverage on Thursday, Friday Saturday Sunday and Monday, plus midweek events .
In the media week in week out nearly the whole year

Motorsport :
No state Championship Coverage,
Rally's , nothing
Bikes, only Philip Island GP
Supercars
Speedcafe and forums
Yes we have speedweek on SBS, but no where near the coverage of the other sports.

So if you owned a large Australia Business, where would put your advertising dollars,

28 cars chasing sponsors dollars is a big ask for a small market

True, my point is 28 cars, 1.1 secs between pole sitter and tail end charlie, it is like following the leader,.

Other category's put on great racing, but Supercars , is either pit stop or divebomb for a pass,
When he raced in V8' Supercars, John Bowe , when in the lead, had the widest car going.

Winton, Symonds,Barbagalo, Hidden valley, Qld Raceway, may have 32 grid spots, doesn't mean racing is that flash

The wildcards have shown that throwing a couple of extra cars into the mix, spices things up a little down the back.

The value of a REC, according to the Sanpoint case, is zero, so their value probably can’t shift too far lower

The income stream is impacted however. The pie is the same size but everybody’s piece becomes just that little bit smaller...

Triple Eight delays ZB Commodore track test

after NZ was i think what you might of read.

The ZB Commodore is due to undergo homologation testing in December.
