Egg 2016 Pirtek Enduro Cup

Who has the ability to enter a wildcard at the moment?

888?
DJRTP?
PRA?

a number of dunlop team if it comes with some finances, maybe MWM,

In theory though PRA are probably the best set up for it with them running a 5th car at bathurst a couple of months later

What chance The Enforcer after "testing" a nissan today

No drivers named at PRA, surely that's not correct, with less than 5 months to sandown, or are they named and just not sure which car

Canto?

for some reason. I think these have been reported, but just not locked into cars yet
and it was going to be a choice between lebrocq and jacobson

edit Dean Canto committed to Prodrive co-drive

This would suggest that canto is locked in at PRA for 2016, just not which car

My Favourite 08 moment was when Courtney/Besnard comeback drive at Bathurst. Courtney raced through to dominate the opening stint had 15 sec. gap to Lowndes who was in 2nd. In the 2nd stint a slowly deflating tyre (originally diagnosed as a damaged anti-roll bar) slowed Besnard's stint in Courtney's car allowing Whincup to assert dominance over the field rest of the race. On lap 160 S.Richards, fading badly on rear tyres was unable to stop Courtney move into 3rd place.

SVG/Premat is a dark horse.

Also pretty keen to see how the Supergirls do this year, Simona did some VERY respectable laps in that car last year, under the radar. She's a pukka pedaller regardless of her gender.

Hopefully she can pedal Mr Winterbottom's current car and not the much-crashed #111...

I'd say SVG/Premat as one of the favourites more so than a dark horse.

For me I am not sure SVG has the maturity yet for such a long race compared to Lowndes/Whincup.

No doubt though if its equal at the end he'll be up for a scrap with whoever is there.

I'm stoked to see Matt Campbell get a gig. Very talented driver, good head on his shoulders and a great attitude too.

Point taken, but the Gentlemen's 6hr is not quite as competitive as the 1000, albeit with more speed differential and potential risk of contact.

offset by being more difficult to pass because of less speed differential and not having a car that has a benefit like he did at the 12 hour

Which is offset by having to deal with the traffic that multi-class endurance races contain. Really, what a non-nonsensical, poor attempt at belittling the efforts of teams and drivers in the 12 hour.

There is no belittling, what you said had already been said by mixer.
You have taken my comment as stand alone without referring to the original quote

12hr?

I'd say that yes Bathurst 1000 is the harder race but he's got runs on the board.
Just my opinion of course ;-)

Remember it has been more than 10 years, has it not, that any teams other than Triple 8, HRT or PRA have won Bathurst.

The lack of diversity of winning teams in this current era has never been matched throughout the history of The Great Race.

you are right when you limit it to team, I reckon when one guy wins it 6 times in 7 years that might show a lack of diversity though

Holden winning 7 years in a row that showed a lack of diversity also

If i had a choice between putting $1000 on one car this year and putting it on 1 car in 1984 ! and everyone else would have choosen 84, where as this year by your calc its on 1 car out of 7 (or 8 if you count waters)

True, Brock dominated that era, but when he didn't win the spoils were shared by more teams.

I am sure that as we get closer to the endurance races people will suggest that teams like BJR, Tekno or GRM have a good chance at winning but recent years have shown the the big three teams have a virtual lockout when it comes to success on the big stage.
