First the Relevant Facts and figures that determine the points…

All 24 Cars qualified within the 107%

There were 2 Grid drop penalties to be applied, Grosjean was dropped 5 places for an out of sequence Gearbox change, and controversially Massa had the FIA seal on his gearbox broken resulting in a 5 place penalty. Grosjean stayed within the Q3 group keeping his 2 Qually bonus Points, Massa however dropped from Q3 into the A2 group with the loss of 1 bonus point.

Qualifying bonuses for Constructors having both cars in Q3 go to Lotus and Red Bull. Ferrari would also have the bonus but for the above Penalty. The engine supplier bonuses go to Mercedes, and Renault for each powering 2 different constructors into Q3.

There were only 2 leaders of the race, Vettel and Hamilton. Each receives 1 bonus point. Vettel receives the bonus for leading the most laps, as do Red Bull for Constructor and Renault for Engine supplier.

Fastest lap went to Vettel taking the bonus points for himself, and Red Bull for constructor and Renault for engine supplier.

The top 2 engines from each supplier, powering different constructors are colour coded for easy reference.

Of the two who were classified non finishers; Both Webber and Vergne had technical failures. As a result Red Bull and Toro Rosso receive a 5 point Penalty.

Onto the results…

The winner of the inaugural USA event is Rotary Wankell with 63 points, Polar Bear Racing came 2nd with 60 and Leopold Racing took 3rd with 59 pts.
Fourth was Redneck racing with 59 points.

This means that in the Overall,

Redneck Racing (1062) extends the lead to 13 points from Moral Victors (1049) who had a relatively poor USA round. Team AWB, who scored the same as Moral Victors, remains in third Place with 1016 points.

Rotary Wankell in fourth (896pts )has opened a 56 point gap over Leopold Racing (840) with SBF racing (837) and Duke Grand Prix Engineering (827) following on.

Hairy Dog Racing (815), Rolling Chicane Racing (799) and TMSV Grand Prix (787pts) complete the top 10.
