7. That’s 9 for the race, -1 for the safety car and -1 for pushing the car 200m down the pitlane instead of 10m back behind the barrier.

Gave it a 9, due to the red flag and MB mistake being the root cause of the fantastic 2nd half but it feels like I was a little harsh too.

Sensational, simply sensational.

Il give it a 9.....10 in terms of the result, but I deduct a point because apart from Hamilton’s climb through the field there wasn’t much overtaking.....

Yeah funny that...

Sainz, Norris, Ricciardo, Leclerc heck even little Lance were at it today! All of them pulled some top moves.

...but one big DRS train. First few laps there was some good moves, but in terms of a Monza race there wasn’t as much as usual

Still, can hardly complain

But most of the things that make F1 terrible were still there. It seems a surprise race result after something that artificially mixes it up is all we need.

Perhaps we should all watch wrestling?

I gave it a 7. The mixing up of results was good but I thought the red flag rules made it lose a couple of points.

I have to give it a 10. Damn great race. Very enjoyable, even enjoyed Lewis carving through the field after his penalty.

The only thing stopping a 10 was the runaway at the front before the red flag.Fantastic race.

I gave it an 8, but think that was maybe a bit high. It lacked the great wheel-to-wheel battles you get on other circuits; at Monza, F1 cars rarely go wheel-to-wheel in the fast stuff and then you get only the fiddly chicanes left. That always takes some of the fun of the racing away. The result was exciting and there was drama, but it lacked something for me - perhaps it was the lack of an interesting chase or progressive development. Obviously it was still exciting for a few reasons, but I'm actually surprised to see so many 10s, although I completely respect it.

7. Wasn't much happening in the first half, but the second half more than made up for it. Some close battles, lots of tension and a shock win

Strange that, because for me, it had many of the things that have been missing for so long. Young guns duking it out at the front, the best there is fighting his way back from the very back and misery upon misery for Ferrari. I only watched the highlights mind, so maybe it wasn't as engrossing if you watched the whole thing.

I have no disagreement with the red flag. The car needed moving and the barrier needed repairing. Far better to stop the race while that goes on, than waste laps tooling around after the safety car.

Monza is default 9 for me, so anything remotely interesting gets it a 10.
