Sad news indeed. A character and a good racer. I had a good chat with him at Castle Combe back in the mid 1990s.

'The Brode' was a character and a good driver never frightened of causing a bit of controversy! He certainly brightened up the British Motor-Racing scene during my years of watching!

Indeed Viv..... Brode, his mischievous and irreverent behaviour and his skills in the Run Baby Run Escorts were certainly highlights to me back in the early and mid seventies, and I guess someone of his non PC nature is something from a lost era now. Happy Days!
