Think alot of teams still evaluating, motor base, even though they had a car and got rid! Same for team head/brisky racing! Plus team BMR, possibly doing something with the triple 8 name!

The difference this time is they have the 2018 TCR UK Champion-elect already on their BTCC books.

I don't see DL being able to secure enough backing for both series next year or wanting to run both; let's face it, TCR offered an opportunity to stay on the radar as he couldn't fund a BTCC seat. Put simply he wouldn't have been in TCR if he had a BTCC ride.

They really need to get onto a higher profile series weekend for next year. BGT is the obvious choice, whether the commercial forces will allow that is another matter.

Promising talk from Ollie Taylor about 2019 TCR UK, quoted on TouringCarTimes. Sounds like a personnel shakeup in the championship and circuit shakeup.
“Speaking to David (Sonenscher, TCR UK promoter), there’s lots of good sounds coming out of TCR UK next year in terms of a shake up of people, technical officials and circuits, so we’re not ruling out TCR UK. If it’s as good as it sounds it may be back."

Notice he says " it may be back next year" not "I" or "We".
Sounds more like he's talking about Tcr as if it's still up in the air not his own self.

Or merely a typo?

In the context I don't think it's a typo. It's the promoter saying positive things (as promoters do) and prodding a "sort your sh1t or we're offski".
Not unlike Turks BMW comment!

Colin made a reference to there being no deal to continue in the BMW whilst being interviewed on the in lap after clinching the title. He was clearly - and expectedly - emotional at the time. I took it, rightly or wrongly, as a thinly veiled "get it sorted".
