That was a clean start but Magnussen seemed to get punted from the rear but recovered and Perez did a pirouette.

Blimey both RBRs out? Verstappen got his left rear punctured, while dicing with Hamilton but not sure what happened to Ricciardo.
Verstappen pits and changes tyres. |

Ferrari totally messed up that pitstop. Looks like he Kimi was released before the left rear was completely on and then ran over one of the pit crew. It looked nasty. I saw that twice last night at Phoenix. Not sure why they brought Kimi in?

Stunning from Toro Rosso Honda as well. Albeit aided by both Red Bulls.

Williams now the only team not to have scored a point this season, or should I say Williams pointless this year.
Best result for Honda in the hybrid era, and a great drive from Gasly, plus of course a masterful display from Seb. |

Quite a bit to contemplate after this race.Red Bull and Ferrari may have a lot to think about as they could have scored a lot more points. Why were bits flying off the Haas? The Sauber now seems to have handed its permanent tail end position to Williams who were woeful. How many cars will be running Honda engines next year?

Two points – 1) Max Verstappen still has a lot to learn about F1, and
2) The FIA still has a lot to learn about making F1 truly exciting – a battle of the giants. What would those last few laps have been like if Lew hadn't had to take a 5-place grid penalty (for changing a gearbox?! C'mon fellas!). Bottas should have taken Vettel. Hamilton WOULD have... |

What a fun race. And ZERO commercials all race on espn2! That is amazing!
Ya know, for being so overrated, that was a brilliant drive by Vettel. Honda finishing above McLaren... Best of the rest too. Great showing for them. Ferrari and Vettel will not win a championship if the quality assurance issues with Ferrari continue. Multiple issues this weekend. They have got to clean that up. Really thought Kimi should have gone over to the crew member after getting out of the car. At least check on him. Bottas ran a good solid race. Seems like the hamilton amd verstappen incident was a 50/50 with verstappen getting all the bad results. Could have been just as disastrous for hamilton. I guess McLaren has continued on with too much downforce because even with drs he wasn't passing cars he should have been able to. |

No grid penalty for Lewis? He would have won comfortably, I suspect. Had his and Bottas' roles been reversed - again, I suspect he would have been past Vettel a couple of laps before the end. I was really disappointed with Bottas, and I suspect Toto and Niki were too.

Yes Please!!!!Give Penalties for Engine/Gearbox maladies to the Team NOT THE POOR DRIVER!!!!!Hamilton would have had a glorious battle with Vettel and won this one!!!!Its now getting dire, and not livening up the show, but putting drivers at risk having to make up large number of places against slower cars.We want to see out and out 1 V 1 racing between the top 3 Teams!!Please Please????

While TR was helped by double RBR retirement, even if the retirements had not happened it would’ve been an epic result for TR and Gasly. It was epic either way. He still finished ahead of a slew of cars that could have been in his position. And oh my! What about poor Williams? Richard |

i have a feeling Bottas is not long for the mercedes camp, for the money he is being paid he should have hammered home his advantage over Seb
