Morbidelli on the 2nd Alfa.
Now I'm curious about sponsors: Morbidelli's Alfa will have Camozzi for sure, but what about Giovanardi? They are two pro drivers, two legends. I expect also ab medica, but I think they will show some medium/big international brand. |

Seems that Monteiro will skip the season opener. The Boutsen-Ginion driver will be replaced by Lessennes.

Just to give some indications, yesterday first sprint race of the year for TCR in the Pirelli World Challenge in Austin, Texas.
On a track that promotes engine and power, Hyundai easily defeats the Honda Civic driven by Eversley, a good experienced driver. Hyundai 1-2, the Alfa Romeo was 4° with Jensen, a decent driver but the car has lack of pace and the set up seemed not optimally. Audi and VW really struggled, but maybe the drivers were not as good as the cars. The cars all run with Bop from first TCR Bop test Last edited by Cinghio44; 25 Mar 2018 at 17:21. |

Hope Monteiro is back soon. It's a shame he has been out a bit too long

I doubt he will be back to be honest, I was surprised to see him sign for Honda again.

It's a huge loss to not see Monteiro in the season opener. Maybe the driver is okay, but he has not fully recovered and there is no indication when he will be ready... probably Lessens will do more than only two races this year in WTCR

I think he is the best of the Zengő drivers. Accoirding to the team they announce the second driver within a week. I guess he will delegated by the SEAT, but some guys think she might be György Anett. She has the financial backup, and as a woman driver she might be a good marketing for the series (but she had not to strong results in the ETCC). Other possible hungarian candidate is Zsolt Szabo, who drive the last half last year in the WTCC. But as I mention I think the second guy will be somebody by the SEAT. |

Although it's not good that in such circumstances, but I'm glad to see Lessennes being given a chance to race. I'd like to see him do a full season in WTCR.
And hopefully Monteiro recovers fully. Bearing in mind his age, I've got the feeling it could sadly be the end of his career though. |
