Who was the oldest driver to win the "Australian Touring Car Championship"?

It seems to be always a driver in their mid-late 40s. Francevic? Johnson in 1989?

Always thought it was Johnson , simply because I forgot about Francevic , who won in 86 . Both were well over 40 when they won the championship .

peckstar has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
according to the v8 website francevic was 44 years 8 months and 25 days

johnson was born in in 1945 meaning he was also 44 but less months (im not sure what month the championship ended in at Oran park)
