What are your least favourite corners?

Everybody has a favourite racing turn, a favourite corner to watch thier racers, well, race on. But what are your least favourite corners?

For me, there are numerous but two I really can't stand;

1) Turn 1 at Shanghai. Grrrr, what a rubbish corner.

2) Banc Sabadell at Catalunya. Similarly awful.

oh and...

3) Plop Curve at Divine Raceway, who created that one? A real stinker.

So, what's your least favourite corners. Should be interesting. And maybe also, you can provide edits' of these corners, to show how you, would improve them

i quite like that chicane, watching the clios plough through it is great

Abbey Chicane at Silverstone i don't like, should be left as a left kink.

For me turns 2,3,5,6,7 of Hockenheim. Also last turn in Istanbul is bad.

The appalling double hairpin crawl (turns 9 and 10?) at Indianapolis.

The stadium section at Mexico city. What a rubbish way to replace Piratella.
The new Variante Alta at Imola.
The chicane at the Nurburgring.
The second chicane at Monza.
Most of the infield at Rockingham
The chicane at Kyalami
Most of the Indy infield.
The chicane at the Hungaroring.
Most of the new Fuji circuit.

And there ae more where these came from....

Quite a few here

1. La Rascasse. Now just a pussy's corner.

2. That annoying sequence of hairpins at Indianapolis (GP track of course)

3. The new Bus Stop chicane, why change something that wasn't broken?

4. The chicane there used to be at Estoril, the one taken at what, 2mph? ;-)

5. Turn 1 at China. It is dreadful, what exactly does it offer?

6. Turn 1 at Nurburgring. Again, old layout was fine.

7. Final sequence of corners at Istanbul.

8. Abbey chicane at Silverstone

9. Whole of the last sector at Magny-Cours.

I think that is enough for now

Piratella = Imola
You're thinking of Peraltada. And the stadium section is optional, the rest of the series that go there use the full Peraltada, although it is a bit flatter than when F1 was there...

So I did. Silly me! I was just so angry it was blinding me!

Even so though I do wish the champcars would use the proper circuit rather than that excuse for a section. Great for the fans in the stadium but just a crap section really. Just one question though: Why have they flattened it since F1 was there when it was a great corner as it was? Was it a safety thing or just another stupid circuit owners decision? I know there isn't much runoff there & not much space for expansion but still...

It's not completely flat, just less so than the old days.

Gerry Forscythe didn't like the idea of having a speedway (oval) type concrete wall on a road course, IIRC, which is what was felt would be needed if Peralta remained as it was.

1. The hairpins at Indy
2. Variante Alta at Imola; why don't they change that as well as Variante Bassa?
3. NGK Chicane at Nürbürgring; why is it there?
4. Banc Sabadell at Catalunya. I'm going to Catalunya soon, and I'll try and get some images of the track.
5. The first complex of turns at Montréal.
6. The final complex at Magny-Cours; can't they get rid of the chicane?
7. The Mercedes Arena at Hockenheim; what is the point of it being there?
8. The final complex at Istanbul.
9. The chicanes at Monza; return it to 'the good old days' of slipstreaming, even though I can't remember any of it! lol
10. Bus Stop at Spa; come on, change it to a flat-out straight so we can see overtaking at La Source, Mr Moseley!
11. Turn 1 at China; why, why, o why is it there, Tilke?
12. The Casio Triangle at Suzuka; oh dear...
13. The Senna S at Interlagos; get rid of it and replace it with a double left, like it was before the changes!
And these are just in F1...

9. There would only be slipstreaming all around the track if you did some pretty heavy changes to the Lesmos and Parabolica. Even in the days before the changes, that would've been true. I think the chicanes have just made sure that overtaking still occurs at Monza; without them, the cars would run high downforce like at Catalunya and Silverstone, and nobody would have a hope of passing.

10. I agree with this, but your reasoning in ordering Mosley to carry out this change eludes me.

11. So that the cars can get to turn two, presumably.

The old Clubhouse corner at Spa was incredibly dangerous - just ask Richard Seaman - especially with the pits there now and no run-off. A chicane was needed, although the current one is a bit naff, isn't it?

Every single last corner of Hungaroring.
The double hairpin section at Indy road.
The chicanes at Monaco. We want them removed!

The chicane you talk of is quite good (for a chicane) as it's provided a few overtaking moves in the past, plus the drivers have just come out of the tunnel, where their eyes still need time to adjust to the light fully. It great stuff
