Speed World Challenge - GTO

What are the opinions on adding the new Pontiac GTO to the Speed World Challenge GT class racing series. Personally, I believe it would be great to see another American car in the series.....I know....I know..it is really based on an Australian car. However, it will still be considered an american auto.

It's soul is American... As are it's engine and tranny!

It also belongs in Trans Am!

Lee, can't agree more. The GTO would be a great addition to TA. It would be nice to see a "legend" added to the series.

It could run in both TA and WSC

With this in mind, is a Judd-powered Ferrari still a Ferrari?

Agree, the new GTO would be a great "fit" in both TA & World Challenge. It would look good with a Pratt & Miller chassis, a CRD engine, and the GTO bodywork in TA.

A Ferrari is still a Ferrari even if owned by Ford.

god cybers have you come back to haunt us??
Yes a Judd powered Ferrari is still a Ferrari. Its body is Ferrari but is heart is a Judd. Same as if you or I had a heart transplant, its still us on the outside with new bits inside.

I'm for anything that can challenge the Audis in Speed GT. But I'd like to see the Trans Am field grow.

Why is a Dino not a Ferrari?

Didn't the Fezza 333 have a Dallara chassis anyway, so once the Ferrari engine was swapped for a Judd it lost its only linked with Maranello?

ALso, what about the Lancia Thema 8.32? A pretty poor eurobox saloon with a Ferrari engine up front...
