Rubio should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
2015 WTCC Race of Morocco

Track facts and records (no separate preview this time):
http://www.fiawtcc.com/event/race-of-morocco-2015/

Entry list:
http://www.fiawtcc.com/wp-content/up...entry-list.pdf

It seems that almost everyone except Citroen see this event only as a preparation for Hungaroring, so I don't really expect to see any surprises - easy 2 Citroen wins it should be. However with Muller's penalty and Ma's inconsistensy it may not be a podium lock-up

I also want to see how Ladas are performing on fast circuits

"In my situation, there will be no point aiming at pole position in qualifying on a strategic point of view.I will rather aim at P7 or P8 so that I am in a good position for race 2 with the reversed grid." Yvan Muller

According to this article both Chilton and Valente should get a 10-place grid drop
http://www.fiawtcc.com/eurodatacar-w...-in-marrakech/

All 3 Ladas changed the engine too, Huff and Thompson will get a 10-place grid drops too (Kozlovskiy hasn't raced yet, so no penalty for him)
http://wtccblog.com/2015/04/engine-c...l-three-ladas/

Also considering problems for Muller, Filippi and Demoustier, we've basically got 1/3 of the field with penalties, which is unbelievable. That Q2 is going to be very tactical, because realistically Muller, Chilton, Valente, Huff and Thompson should be in Q2

That's the FIA for you. "Woo, penalise everything!"

Rules are rules, engine change means grid penalty. Blaming the FIA for that shows the true fool...

Exactly. It's just the first time so many competitors changed the engine.

BTW, engine change means back of the grid for race 1 according to Neil Hudson. These articles led to confusion

Qualifying coverage will start only from Q2 on Eurosport, but I guess it will be fully available on the website. BTW, practices are live at fiawtcc.com again

Juntos is a back marker
instead of Qualifying, I suggest a Lucky Draw to make the WTCC grids. Much better more entertaining.

Finally this "tet us save the car for next races and let Citroens win" weekend over. In terms of results this weekend is a complete dissapoinment. The difference in Citroens race pace is HUGE (in qualy the gap was much smaller).

In terms of action, Race 2 was good especially the Michelisz-Bennani-D'Aste-Tarquini battle. Please more of that.

Bring Hungaroring with compensation weight
