Honolulu street track - Hawaiian Grand Prix

HONOLULU STREET TRACK
Hawaiian Grand Prix

This is a street circuit built in Honolulu, on the coast...
It could host Indycars, ALMS and F.Atlantic in a single weekend.
(In the early 90's, CART wanted a race in the Hawaii, but that proposed track was in another place...)

This scenic track has its start/finish straight (around one km long) located along a street in front of the Ala Moana park, in the Honolulu bay.
The first corner, called Tennis (because of the tennis courts nearby) is a sharp right hand turn, but it's a bit more open than a normal 90 degree corner.
Good place for overtaking.
Right after it, there is Tango, a left hand turn that takes the name from a cafè: it's a slower corner, to be taken in second gear.
After a curvy straight we approach the sharp Pond corner: it's almost a hairpin and a quick exit is vital her, since it leads to a quick section.
The Church bend is a right hand corner, faster than it seems because its radius gradually opens towards the exit. It leads to Cafè, a fast left bend, to be taken flatt out, and then we approach Aku Bone, a similar bend, even quicker, but this time it's a right hand turn.
After a short straight there are two 90 degree corners: Taiyo Ramen and East corner, where you have to accelerate very quickly in the exit, since the longest straight of the track is about to begin.
The Kapiolani Straight leads to the Canal corner, a heavy braking zone that in the race should provide excellent action.
Then the cars sprint over a bridge, that takes them on the other side of the canal, where thay approach the Waikiki turn, a relatively quick left hander, that takes the name from a hotel.
Immediately after this, there is a slow turn called Kala Caua.
We are about to enter in the last part of the circuit...the fastest: after a medium-lenght straight there is the Ilikai Hotel corner...a magnificent long-radius, right hander bend.
Then, cars pass over another scenic bridge, the Ali Wai Bridge, with the following corner, again, a very fast place, a 135 degrees radius bend.

The lap is over, have fun doing another one by yourself

It's my favourite street track of mine, so far

That looks good, some fast straights and some difficult corners - I really like 'Pond'. Great work!
