And given that Paulsen roughed him up in race 1, I'm leaning to say it was. Pleased to see Jessica Backman get a podium in a field a lot more competitive than TCR UK. Dissapointed to see Lloyd struggle after being quick in practices. |

Borkovic went into print yesterday saying he would get his revenge on those that ‘ruined’ Race 1 for him. Quote from the article in Touring Car Times “Some of these new drivers they don’t know me, but I’ll get them back for sure.” Last edited by TR4racer; 26 May 2019 at 19:44. |

Maybe he was better in hill climbs, because no competitors around.
Hes for sure a talent at the wheel, but much too aggresive. Maybe his temper is problem.... |

That's a big problem, coming from a series where you run one at a time. He seems to have no boundaries in terms of wheel to wheel racing, someone needs to talk to him

Coming from Hill Climb series wasn't the problem.
He was the same when he raced in Serbian Touring championship. |

He is a strong man. There is a stubbornness about him that never can bear to be frightened at the will of others at the racetrack. He brings actions to the show. Now that Comini retired, he is the last bastion of the TCR Europe in terms to track spectacle. Trees are sanctuaries.
Just punching other people in the paddock is not nice. |

I don't mind him getting his elbows out. It's nice to show he's not to be intimidated. That's part of tin top racing. He certainly gives it a good go, but he could tone it down it notch, exciting as it is. Of course his behaviour in the paddock leaves him under scrutiny, because there is no need for that

I tried watching TCR Europe over the weekend (Hockenheim races), however the commentary was so awful and the volume of the cars so low and drowned out I gave up on it after about 5 minutes.

Did you see the battle between Engstler, Magnus, Files and Coronel? That was a great battle without crashing into each other and destroying cars and each other’s races. Perhaps Borkovic should go and race in demolition derby because ruining others races and destroying cars is not a spectacle to me.

Santiago Urrutia was sent to practice standing starts.

Well the series isn't as high profile as say the WTCR, BTCC, V8 Supercars, DTM or TC2000. So the media interest probably isn't that much

“The elevation changes of the Belgian circuit will also be a factor in conjunction with the weight of the cars. In this respect, the Hyundai i30 N will be the only model carrying the maximum 60-kilo Compensation Weight, while the Peugeot cars will have only 10 extra kilos on board and the other cars will have none.”
The above is a direct copy from the TCR Media release. It should certainly mix things up. |

Good to see Ash Sutton there. He’s already looking like a tin top legend, so not surprised he’s being offered a lot of drives

Hmm, Sutton and Scott visited every manufacturer pre-season trying to get a deal for WTCR or TCR Europe and ended up back in BTCC. Not sure that the ‘legend’ cap fits just yet.

I'm not sure "ended up" is the right way to look at that. You're assuming that TCR Europe was a priority over BTCC. I'd find that hard to believe.

He was trying really hard for TCR Europe and given the schedule clashes I would suggest that it was a priority over BTCC....
