24thunder should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Will engines/trannys hold up at Pocono?

I thought the Coca-Cola600 wud be the real test 4 the drivetrains with the extra mileage in that event, but with more shifting & turns involved with the Pocono500 event & because there r 2 of these events, believe now that this will be the ultimate tests of the drivetrains durability under the 1 engine rule!I'm thinking perhaps as many as 9 engine/tranny failures in this race today!Any1 have any predictions or comments on this subject?

Welcome 24T! I don't know if today's race will be the ultimate test because of practice & qualifying being cancelled on Friday. If the weather cooperates for them in July, I agree with ya that Pocono will be a tough test for them.

I expect that the low budget teams will be the victims of the one engine rule.
The big $$$ teams should be okay but ....
Yates & Penske have had durability problems in the past.
I have to agree that Pocono will be a tough test indeed.

RE:engines/tranny at Pocono.

Lars--Many thanks 4 reply & Ur insight.U've a gud point abt less mileage on the drivetrains with quals.cancelled due to seepage, that was weird qual. session with the sun out but cudn't qual.because of water on track! Those 2 less laps on drivetrains shud help some but still will be a gud bit of abuse on drivetrains,IMO!Perhaps then the real test will be at same track in the Pennsylvania500 event, providing They're able to qual.& have full practiice sessions 4 that event!

RE:Stan_MarlinMan

Thanks 4 reply & thoughts.Great thought abt the Penske & RYR troubles with drivetrains at this track,it's interesting tho that these same 2 teams have had a lot of success in this same event as well!I agree on low budget teams probably having most engine/tranny problems!

The water problem was similar to the one they had in Texas a few years back. Also reminded me of Charlotte when the toilets back up & the sewage ended up on the track...lmao.

Anybody watching Nascar This Morning now? If you saw it, was Rusty extra fiesty today or what? lol.

RE:Lars

Thanks 4 reply, yeah I'd forgotten abt similar problems at Texas & Charlotte tracks,I was thinking this was a 1st for conditions, other than rain, cancelling quals.Noticed during interviews with drivers yesterday, during quals.,that Rusty Wallace said this seepage condition had happened b4 at Pocono track as well!
