Snetterton - Sat 21st/Sun 22nd - (Mighty Minis final race)

This is it - Round 16, the final Mighty Minis race of the season. The 'last day of term' feeling is sure to produce some cracking racing, and Snetterton always brings out the best in the Mighty Minis.

5 abreast down the back straight into the Esses, or 4 abreast down into Russell?. Over the kerbs, grass, gravel, and each other if we're not careful!

The two Nevilles, and possibly Neven Kirkpatrick are in with a shout at the 2002 title, but will there be dirty tactics at work?

Mightys and Supers are on the Saturday only, but there's plenty of other racing, and also racing on the Sunday. Here's a timetable:

Saturday qualifying:
Ford Saloons - 9:00
Formula Honda - 9:20
Ford Fiestas - 9:45
Superkarts - 10:05
Mighty Minis - 10:30
Monoposto (2000/1800) - 10:50
Road Saloons / Super Mighty Minis - 11:15
Monoposto (1600/1200/600) - 11:35

Lunch break, then racing from 13:00:
Ford Saloons - 12 laps
Superkarts race 1 - 10 laps
Formula Honda - 12 laps
Furred Fiascos - 12 laps
Mighty Minis - 12 laps
Monoposto 2000/1800 race 1 - 12 laps
Road Saloons / Super Mightys - 12 laps
Superkarts race 2 - 10 laps
Mono 1600/1200/600 race 1 - 12 laps

Sunday qualifying
Monoposto 2000/1800 - 9:00
T-cars free practice - 9:20
Southern Formula Ford Kent - 10:00
Zippy Fords free practice - 10:20
Global GT Lights - 10:45
Monoposto 1600/1200/600 - 11:05
Superkarts warmup - 11:30
Zippy Fords qualifying - 11:45
T-Cars qualifying - 12:10
Southern FFord Zetecs - 12:30

Lunch break, then racing at 13:30, with:
Monopostos 2000/1800 race 2 - 12 laps
Superkarts race 3 - 10 laps
T car race 1 - 10 laps
Southern FFord Kents - 12 laps
Zippy Fords - 12 laps
Global GT lights - 12 laps
Monoposto 1600/1200/600 - 12 laps
Southern FFord Zetecs - 12 laps
T car race 2 - 10 laps

Please note, the organisers reserve the right to bugger up the timetable any time they feel like it. So there

Calling Andy Roberts! Are you doing the F Hondas?

Cool..

You're in the 2000s now, aren't you Lola?

I suspect everyone else will be at Donington for the BTCC (we will be on Sunday actually)

That is super news Chris that we'll be seeing you on Sunday. I had looked at your timetable and hoped maybe the BTCC qualifying was on early Saturday so I could do that and then razz across to Snett to see you race. Sadly your race is going to be about the same time as qually at Donington

RMR - just figured out who you are.. We'll be watching you Good luck!

Lola, you're really going to have to change your username to Reynard now.. I haven't seen you in your new car yet, but I don't want to see it bouncing over the kerbs/grass!

So who did the rain dance for sunday? That rain in a FF is not a perfect match. Love to see photos if anyones got any. Did you marshalls get a tad wet/blown about? Turned out all right in the end though, and pleased to say I never saw any of you during qual/race.

Shame about that Lola, More frustrating when you get pushed off!

Sorry I didn't get to see you Lola, or Andy Roberts (who also had a problem or two in the FHondas)..

Were you around on the Saturday, Rich?

I had a pretty good race. Started 7th, got up to 6th, then pushed (fell) down to 12th, and worked my way back into 7th again. Posted the 4th fastest lap, and was going to be 5th or 6th at the end, when the car suffered an electrical mishap, and I parked it on the back straight on the last lap

A bit frustrating, but looking very good for next year!

Sorry you stopped on the last lap Chris. I was watching on the pit wall and saw you go past on the last lap, never to return

I had a rear suspension failure on the backstraight just after I was battling for the lead in FHonda. Scary moment at 120mph

Sorry to hear that Andy - you were giving Nigel such a run for his money and I was certain you'd have had him in a lap or so.

Yeah it was a bit of shame really. I am not just hoping I can win the final two races of the year at Donington Park on 26th October to give a nice finish to the year at my home track.
