Admittedly I would have loved to see contrasting cars in the WEC. It could however be worse. The "old bodywork" comment is a bit much as they are obviously working hard on development.

The same basic livery and in the same color seems to be a bit of a lost opportunity. I guess it just depends on how you generally view life. Half full or empty?

Seeing those cars painted in something remotely interesting and then being told they won't be raced like that feels like we're on a gameshow, being shown what we could have won.

Really surprised they kept the livery. No one knows what it is apart from the enthusiasts, and even then, it's pretty much universally panned. I'd understand if it had something to do with brand identity. But hey ho. Maybe it's good on a corporate level if no one likes your livery? Maybe it's some marketing trick that's blown over my head.

Believe me, I feel your pain. I was extremely disappointed but am trying hard to look on the bright side. In many regards they largely played it safe last year. Why not capitalize on what you know will bring excitement to your program.

Porsche supposedly had trouble getting all 6MJ last season (same with Toyota) so they must have made some big gains in the recharge area??

Who cares how they'll look in the series if they're still gonna appear spectacular in the one race that matters. It's not like that was expected either. The black one in particular is fantastic, and hides some of the uglier shapes of the car.

Porsches livery design smells heavily of a design student concept. It's a great art concept but does not translate into reality as well as it does on some fancy portfolio.

I must admit that I have liked the white design less than I do now. It's grown on me like a wart.

It's no great surprise considering they continued with the same rubbish livery on the 911s in TUSC.

Reminds me of the 2011 #1 Audi R18; apart from the majority-silver fin that was a fantastic looking car, if somewhat under the radar at the time (for obvious reasons):

Then there's the thing that it looks so similar to Audis, so similar that the average viewer can't probably always separate them. How can that be a benefit to either unless there is a secret VAG world domination plan. Pretty perplexing that they didn't want to solve this... properly. Audi kind of solved, by giving the same guy who threw three different paint cans over R15+ a can of black paint and telling him to make the front of the car less white.

The black one reminds of the Darth Vader (AEG) Sauber from 1988.
