BRSCC@ Pembrey this weekend

Really looking forward to this one, especially as i`ve only done one weekend since the end of may, and that was in july! I`m itching to get back on the bank. Anyone else here going?

If the weather stays the same as the last few weeks, it could be a busy couple of days!!!

Just looked at http://www.barc.net/venues/pembrey/p..._of_events.php and found some important info!

Seems SUNDAY's EVENTS are CANCELLED (Circumstances beyond their control) - Saturday as advertised. This may explain the lack of timetable at this late stage... *gutted*

someone I work with who was down to race have said it was due to lack of entries in some of the races. They aparently only had 6 cars at the last meet!

I can confirm that Sunday's event is no longer taking place.

Saturdays meeting is running as scheduled. Look forward to seeing you all there at sign-on.

I'll be there. Disappointed about the Sunday being off though, that puts me in danger of having to do the garden.

I am waiting for it myself, as soon as I have the info I'll pass it on. All Sign on times remain the same though for Sat.

Shame about sunday! At least we`ve got the fun-cup on saturday. Assuming that there`s no qualifying now, is the racing starting earlier?

At a guess, they will have to qualify as per normal.

bit gutted it`s not a 2 dayer, but was really looking forward mainly to the Funcup race,
just means a good ole fashion sunday lunch is in order, topped off with a bit of formation 1 racing

There will be a qualifying session then a break before the main race.

During the race, we intend to give out the current positions after each pit stop window so that you will know who the leaders are. These windows are fixed so it should be a lot easier to follow.

Oh No!!! Now I really will have to find something to do Sunday - I forgot it was procession week again I wonder if there is any REAL racing on TV this weekend...

If only I didnt live at the end of the road to nowhere..... I might have been able to go somewhere else on Sunday

As they`re at one of the worlds greatest F1 circuits, i wonder if they`re going 2 do it justice and actually do some racing? Ithink the GP2 races will be more entertaining!

I will just have to see if I can cover Friday as well to get my "fix"

I did consider having my first look at Anglesey but from where I am it would really have to be for the whole weekend given the cost of fuel and the travel time up from the South West corner where I am, (the roads are not great). If I were going to cover a weekend meet "away" then I'd want to be there for Friday (assuming there was testing) or at least travel up on the Friday. There are 2 of us down for this, and TT cant get his shifts varied at this late stage - He already tried to swap his Sunday booked off for a Friday - but no takers.

So in effect it would require my letting down Pembrey which I am not comfortable with. I will just have to hope Motors TV come up with some "amusement" for me - otherwise I may have to repair someones car (at long last)
I just live in the wrong place... It really is that simple!

Blimey this is a bit sad, I have entered a BARC meet the following weekend and I hear a lot of talk in the paddock about guys not doing the trip because of the distance, sign of the times prehaps?

For me Pembrey is a 45 minute (ish) commute, and returning home each night means I don't have to organize a pet sitter for the zoo here. Going further afield requires more "logistics" and to justify the cost for me has to be a weekend "under canvas", so due to the arrangements that need to be made, its not something I can do at the last minute (sadly).

I know in my neck of the woods, despite falling oil prices over the last few weeks, both of my local Supermarkets have just hiked the price by a penny a litre again, and if this was 3 years ago before Asda came to town we would be paying at least 2 pence more as is the price at other Tesco branches round here.

To amble back on topic.... I see that there is still no timetable/finals on the BRSCC site... but then I guess the meeting being curtailed means they can pretty much make it up as they go along

The track will actually be open in the morning for guys that want to pay to get a bit of practise so I don't know if some of you guys will be needed for that, I would have thought you would be. (BARC Meeting the following weekend)
