pink69 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
British SBK champion?

The new season gets underway in the coming weeks. No sign of Reve Red Bull this year, but Reynolds will defend his title on the new Suzuki GSX1000. Hislop will be a title threat and Plater and Crafar could be in with a shout too.

Er, I wouldn't have a clue.

I know of Reynolds, Crafar (former GP winner now in a national championship?!?!) and Hislop, so I'll say it will be out of those three.......

Hizzy shouls and would have had it last year if John hadn't spilled him. I reckon he's got at least one more good season in him - he's still as fast as he ever was.

I reckon Hizzy too,but I wish Steve Plater good luck(such a nice chappy, but not on the right bike!!)I would also keep my eye on Karl Harris,he's young with a gift,if you get what I mean??

Oh,yes and Kawasaki are out of it this year, concentrating on the World Championships.

Simon Crafar was never that good. I think you're sorely underestimating the British riders in voting for him.

May I remind you that Simon Crafar dominated a 500cc race at Donnington, which included the great Mick Doohan. It took him(Doohan)to fall out of the championship before anyone else could win it, so he has the talent to do in Hissy and Reynolds!

Practice:Hizzy fastest, with Harris following(I really rate Carls chances)but I'm glad they are both up there,Hizzy deserves this championship,he was robbed last year(although John's no walk over!!)

I remember the race well. Crafar rode brilliantly on a circuit that was always tricky in damp conditions. It was a phenomenal ride. But one ride does not make him a good rider. He alwyas had trouble with consistency and setting the bike up, and he was a big guy and always looked awkward. I don't even know where he's been since then, except his embarassing outing in SBK for Honda. His early SBK career was pretty lousy, too.

Crafar is nothing to write home about, he doesn't know the circuits like the British riders do, he's never looked at home on a superbike and when he was on them he couldn't beat people the British guys regularly do at home as wildcards.

I see he hasn't qualifed that well, has he? I voted for Hizzy - I've always been a fan of his - and he didn't just take pole, he absoloutely made it his own.

I stand by my opinions.

The more I get to know Hizzy the more admiration I have for him.I can always remember that horrible crash he had at Brands Hatch,it made me feel quite sick.To come back from that and then he had the crash at Rockingham to recover from.

No disrespect to the man but he is getting on a bit now,to keep coming back like he is doing and on such form right from the start,he deserves this Championship and a big fat medal too for his bravery, guts and determination...
