how to become a Marshal
Please could someone tell my how I can join a club. I would like to marshal at oulton park first of all. by the way I am deaf but can hear as I wear hearing Aids I would like to start next year (2005) Thanks

Hi Topgear and welcome to marshalling.
The British Marshal's Club is one option (they are at www. marshals.co.uk). Another option is to see if on the Oulton Park web site there is a marshal's club. But I am sure that other marshals on here will be able to help you better. |

Top Gear your best bet is to send a personal message (PM) to Marshalgirl. She has helped many new marshals at Oulton Park get started and will tell you everything you need to know.

Welcome Top Gear, pretty neat I reckon that you want to marshal. Im sure there is some one over there to help you out.On my team I had a marshal that was color blind he never did tell or anyone else for that matter.Once we sorted the problem he turned out to be a good marshal.Enjoy your time at Oulton Park I myself would love to marshal there have fun mate.

Top Gear drop me a line and we'll sort you out with coming to the Training Day in February - a must for everyone and also gives you an idea what it's all about before you decide to join a club. We also do a walkabout around the circuit with one of our longest serving members in the morning of a meeting (have to be next year now as last meeting of the year was yesterday at Oulton) and then you get to play in the afternoon - by then you'll probably be as hooked as the rest of us. PM me and we'll get the ball rolling!!
