Fish [V8SC10R23&24] Norton 360 Sandown Challenge

So with the surge of performance from FPR & BJR, could this be a round where someone different and interesting gets a gig on the top step of the podium?

Sandown is kinda like 2 drag strips and some wiggles in the short race format.. the FPR cars are rocketships in a straight line, and would be hard to bet against on race day

Even the 3rd car.. which is really the 2nd car, but a new engineer saw a different turn of pace at Symmons...

My tip.. P.Dumbrell for a maiden win, Mr Lowndes to take the round...

just to correct you, its either one or the other, if P Dumbrell takes a maiden win, then he has won the round

50 years of ATCC

Apart from the V8 Supercars there will be Group A/C cars on display and doing demo laps if there isn't any delays on the day.

It should be good if the weather holds and the other categories don't cause the demo to be cancelled on Saturday & Sunday.

Maybe we will see you there...

I'm tipping a slow track, with the rail in the true position until someone puts a dent in it.

I have actually closed the book on that one ! odds on favorite

After the hours of delays for fence repairs at the recent Shannons round, Sandown is proving to be quite fragile it seems.

The very old armco is almost past its use-by date.

Makes you wonder how they get past the CAMS Safety inspection ?

And for those asking, don't ask for the penetrometer......

Back to the issue at hand, Fords have a pretty good record here but suspect that others will take the wins whilst JC and JW are busy battling each other in the middle of the top 10.

Hi PVDA,
you are probably on the money, but I hope they can keep it clean for a few laps at least....I love making noise with the Mustang!

But will FPR back up their Tassie effort with another at Sandown? Or was it just a one off?

Interesting to read today that "Frosty" rates Whincup as the one to catch for the championship. A spur on for Courtney or just ANOTHER gentle blow to his confidence ?

So three practice sessions down and Jack Perkins is still faster in the Love machine despite the Fujitsus session being first thing in the morning and probably as cold as the proverbial.

Just another example of how un-popular JC is in the paddock !

Even his peers despise him......

Head on into the tyre buffer/fence at the end of the back chute.

Congrats to Paul Dumbrell. I was a doubter at the begining of the year, but I am glad to have be proven wrong. He has the talent.

Proves what having a good car and team can do.
