Spent this morning with Mike’s sisters who asked me to thank everyone who posted on here & contributed to Bauble’s photo album, they were truly moved and found it very emotional. |

MOG Magazine sold a number of single issues of the June edition that carried the piece on Mike. I hope they found it worthwhile.

Javelin Trackday @ Mallory
I see Javelin have extended the options for Friday 25th September.
They were already having 20 minutes sessions for single-seaters & Novices, the third session per hour is now for 'Production Based Racing Cars' So for £159 you'll get 7 sessions with a noise limit of 103db. See you there ? |

So it was your birthday yesterday, Gerard?
Bad timing! You missed a holiday by one day - must have been the fireworks! Belated Bon Anniversaire from both of us. |

Not bad timing, Mum was probably too busy on the 14th! As a nice kid I waited till the day after, when all the noisy things were over. And the ambulance available!

John, Gerry, like bauble, seems to get confused over when his birthday really is. They both fall into the 'every day is your birthday' type I think.
Bob is actually only 26.... its just he has had over 80 birthdays. @ Gérard, trust you had a good one. |

Yes. and the days in between are Christmas (or whatever they call it in Luton nowadays...).
That's my 2,000th post. It's only taken 17 years! I'm going on holiday now. |

Don't you just hate it when your carefully pre-concieved prejudices get shot out of the water?
I'm approaching that birthday in a couple of months when I shuffle from being merely "old" to "vulnerable", and so I have to renew my driving licence.....so I thought I'd better get my application in early - because DVLA take forever.... So, with just over two months before the expiry of my licence, on Monday this week I submitted my online application - and the confirmation of it included the instruction that I should cut up my existing licence and return it to DVLA.....like heck, I thought......it'll be weeks before I get the new one - what if I want to hire a car or whatever....... And on Wednesday the *******s delivered my new licence through the post - just like that! You just can't trust anyone these days! Sliced licence now sat ready to be posted back to Swansea...... |
