Radio on rallies in the UK operate under licences granted to Motorsport UK and as such are strictly controlled.

Normally one would need to go through a club who would arrange for the necessary approvals for a rally call-sign, suitable equipment etc.

Motorsport UK have a number of regional radio coordinators covering areas of the country to help clubs with this.

There is some information on the Motorsport UK website (marshal resources) which has regional contacts in.

You might want to look at the British Rally Marshals Club

Hi Craig,

I would suggest you join the Scottish Motorsport Marshals Club.

They offer radio communications services to a wide range of events as well as providing training and certification.
