Thanks koper... Although I was not the fastest... Whitesedan was more deserving of the title. I sort of get the 10 bonus pts for racing all the races by default :P

Yes for the next few weeks/months I cant do any 1 week races. So the "winter" season championship format will suit me better also.

Let see how much interest we get.

So can I ask everyone to please post some tracks to me in a PM if you would like it to be included in the "Summer Showdown" Name your track anything you like but add "TTSS" to the end. Ill choose 10 to be included. If you see TTSS in a track name done race to much on it just yet?

For now I make the deadline the end of June. So please submit all your tracks. As many as you like and ill try and choose a good variety of different tracks.

Id suggest we let the "season" run then for 1 month?

Any other ideas?

Wow! Someone got up-staged.

Before I had a chance to do the next round, the country requested I swap my racing gloves for a Rifle and Combat boots. Guess I did better there than on the tracks.

I'll be around for the Summer Championships! Looking forward to racing this clock instead.

3 single lap stages. overall fastest wins. Say at the end of August?

Ten Tenths - Stage 1

haha, thanks cougar, those tracks are great fun.

i must admit that i have seen this thread before and not looked at the game for fear of sucking me into procrastination... but i have succumbed!

i'm not sure i have worked out track 2, just cant seem to get anywhere near a good lap time there.... oh well....

PS i have tried my hand at making a track - thought an 'old hockeneheim' track would be pretty simple but fun: http://www.fingertime.com/trackheads/9229312/

I'm sorry for my absence. I had so many things on my head...
I will not be using the internet as often as I used to, so I think I won't be taking part in the championship if you decide to start it up - as I see it doesn't seem like.
Anyway - thanks for now and good luck.

Thanks Cougar for your great effort

Hiya,

Yes sorry I even neglected to update on the last event... Seems interest has dropped a little.

I did enjoy it while it lasted though. Maybe we can start up when/IF they ever release a 2nd version. I like how basic the game is but a few improvements would be great.

Automated championships for one a wider range of track design pieces?
Shame we cant get hold of the developer...

Anyone want to code their own game? :P Although the "handling" of this game was really good.

Gutted. I would periodically think about this. I was never particularly good at it, for I did not play it enough, and my computer-internet connection at the time was not really good enough, but it was, nonetheless, great fun.

I wonder if it will be available somewhere else?

Well, been looking on-line for similar stuff. The problem is most stuff is all 3D and fancy. The problem is trying to find something simple, and one with a track editor.

So, this got me to thinking about the Micro Machines 2 Turbo Tournament game I once had for the Megadrive (Genesis). Alas, the one I have found on-line does not have the track editor mine did. Neither does it have nearly as many tracks as the one I had (only has 26 that I can see). I think I must have had the Special Edition, or something. I dunno, too long ago. Perhaps more tracks open up, or something.

Anyway, for anyone that fancies a blast from the past, this is the link I have found:

http://www.ssega.com/game.php?id=1076

Ah, just worked it out. I had the re-vamped version. Micro Machines: Turbo Tournament '96.

I will have to try and find that.

Even if I cannot find an online version, I will have to search out an emulator and play it.

*****

Hmmmm, I suppose this post is maybe not allowed on here. I wonder if this stuff has become considered abandonware by the companies yet?
