BARC Brands Hatch 27/28th May
Looks an absolutely cracking entry, pre-83 Group 1 already up to capacity I believe, Post Historic Pre-74 not far behind, excellent grid fro the Pre-66 etc, looks a real cracker of a weekend.
Fingers crossed for the weather though because this will now be the 6th meeting I have entered since last September and it has rained at all the other 5! Water shortage, not while I'm around |

Al, you haven't been in Belgium or Germany, have you?
Shame I can't be at Brands that weekend, looks like a good event, hope you have fun. |

Sod it! I think I'm going to have to pull my entry.
Just checking my brakes one front disc has a great big crack in it and these make up the front hub as well so I found a spare down the shed and spent all afternoon fitting it with a few mods as not quite the same, then I gave the pedal a few stamps to take up the pads and low and behold the other side caliper is ****ing out fluid and as these are humungous great Wilwood Grand National 6 pots I won't get these overnight and will probably be yet anoter US order. Not good. |

Can you not try Rally Design, they may have them.
I was bleeding my rear brakes after having refitted the callipers due to frying the seals last week and I have sheared both bleed screws off one of them and I can't get the remains out so it's looking like I may need a new calliper on Monday providing they have one/can make one or repair this by Friday. |

Yes they are my usual Wilwood supplier and I will be phoning them am Monday morning. Trouble is these are 1.62" pistons and at least on their website they do not list the kit part # 130-2656 which is listed on the Wilwood site. They may of course use that size in some of the 4 pot calipers (mine are 6 pot) as it is dificult to determine from the site so still hope.
Also I started the suspension conversion on the IROC yesterday and that seems pretty straight forward so if my rad and new programmed dizzy are in next week I can always take that and enter in the Classic Thunder but I can't risk a £190 entry fee if there is any doubt and this is the problem unfortunately. I will make a final decision Monday but hey you guys should be glad if the weather Jonah does not turn up, you may get a nice sunny weekend! |

Rally Design could not help, have emailed and faxed Wilwood in the States direct unless anyone knows another supplier over here. One good thing John Woolfe Racing actually stock the competition disc rotors (amazed as I have not ordered these for years) so a pair of those on their way to me now, just need those seals (or me rad, or me Dizzy!).

Not publically unfortunately but I can assure you it is an absolutely huge entry for both days with some full grids and many nearly full so you will not be disappointed (aprt from the ruddy weather looks dodgy). You can check the race card on the BARC site but not the entry list.

I have decided to pull my Post Historic car entry as can't get the bits anywhere but the USA and will be there in my IROC for a race debut in Classic Thunder. Bit of a rush job though and will be far from sorted as still awaiting further parts but will give it an airing and see how it goes. It will be a class B entry incidently curtesy of running on list 1b tyres and not pure race rubber.

Thanks John T will do me best & Dex pay attention at the back of the class, I will be in the black IROC 3rd gen car.
Put the old rad back in tonight, swapped seat belts and transponder so just got to set the corner weights up Saturday and we are ready to rock and roll. |
