Paul Newns should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Chris interviewed Margaret Simpson on Saturday about the work of marshals, which was very nice. I had a good three days at Knicker In, which was the perfect spot to watch the track action. The evening concerts were excellent, too.

Any idea of the approximate time? It's available on the BBC website, but no way am I listening to three hours of Evans just to hear that!

Edit: the interview with Margaret starts at 25:45. (Dave Scott at 23:30)

Well - yet more proof that I am a technical ignoramus. I normally listen to t'radio in real time and have no idea how to "do" I-player stuff. Any chance of an easy to use link that I can just click on?

(And this is the girl who worked on developing new HMRC computer systems, although in my defence I was a Business Analyst so lack of techie savvy was actually a benefit!)

Hi Shelagh,
Hover the mouse pointer on the picture of the stage, bottom left corner next to 00.00 click and drag the white marker to the right until 00.00 becomes 25.45 then click the triangular play button in the far bottom left.

Andy.

Thank You!

Didn't Margaret do well. She sounded so professional - Chris Evans better look to his laurels.

I think we now have a close season quiz to organise as to where Margaret may have worn overalls other than at a race track........

That explains a lot! How many refunds/under payment letters were sent recently?

Nothing to do with me! I went off sick last April and took redundancy at the end of October.

And I have a repayment claim to sort out for myself now I am feeling better and more like dealing with it.

I like it. A taxlady claiming against the tax office. True justice.

Carfest

Just to say it was worth enduring the citroen test drives each afternoon droning round endlessly to see some of the cars. Some of the cars made the crowd go 'Phwoar!' Especially the dragsters and the F1 boys.
The Matras were worth coming to the event. Good feedback from the drivers and the crowd, most of whom had never been to Oulton Park before. Perhaps we will have some converts.
Excellent music and great company all round.
Bigger and better next year? Hope so.
See you all at the Gold Cup.

Just got back from Knockhill and found a programme sent by MSVR and a letter from Dave Scott. Much appreciated.

Those gorgeous sounding Matras were the highlight for me. I hadn't seen most of them before.
