Old photos of Lydden
Having marshaled at Lydden for quite some years I was wondering if anyone has any interesting old photos of Lydden?
For example, anything from the early days of the circuit? or from when the small oval was in use? or how about some oddities such as the time I think Ford used it for showing off their (then) new Ford Transit when it was first launched? Or even better, any photos from Rallycross in years past? |

Gnome must have seen you in action, I do a fair bit at Lydden - Date for your Diary 10th April. Sevenoaks Golden Jubilee Lydden event.

ss collins - you certainly can't miss me - I'm the tiny garden gnome holding a large chopper in his hand (stop that smutty thought immediately). You may have also seen the Big Fella that usually hangs around the startline with me (not that he ever seems to do anything useful...).

The small oval was used last year for Stock Cars (and will be used again this year?)

nowt on the oval this year got cancelled a few weeks ago.

UDB - what can I say? You know I have a permanent smile on my face so work it out for yourself!
ss_collins - the Big Fella says sorry but he hasn't got a bell... Seriously though - he usually does SEMSEC, BARC and Rallycross meetings so hopes to catch you sometime soon. Anyway, back to the thread - Photos of Lydden? Anyone got anything they can share? In all my years there I've never taken any pics simply because I've never been as a spectator and have been far to busy marshaling. |
