Anuauto has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
It is David Williamson, car number 119. There has been debate elsewhere about releasing names in such circumstances and I for one agree with the decision that, once next of kin have been informed, there is a duty to the family and friends of all other competitors not to keep them in the dark if the matter is mentioned at all. Maybe the BBC did update their report (the time on the link posted may be too early to have had the full details released but I do not think it is) but by the time of the first post on this forum, that information was available. I hope no one else was distressed by reading the link above and, knowing someone there, then had to urgently seek further information.

Allow me to express my sincere condolences to the family and friends of a fellow enthusiast and competitor,

For those of us who quite probably did not know David but share the grief of the loss of a fellow competitor, please feel free to add your thoughts.

This thread will be moved to Tributes tomorrow.
