The next F1 legend ? Matthias Lauda
It seems as if Niki Lauda isn't the only member of his family interested in Motor Racing with reports in the German press claiming that Matthias Lauda, twenty, wants to follow in his fathers footsteps, starting with the Spanish Formula Three championship next year.
The young Austrian, who has been living in Barcelona for the last six years hasn't tried to hide his ambition, which is to one day compete in the pinnacle of Motorsports like his triple world championship winning father. It will be difficult to even come close to my father's achievements, he said. But Formula One is definitely one of my goals. Meanwhile, it was only a few days ago that father Niki, now boss of Jaguar Racing, announced that he would be climbing behind the wheel of the team's 2002 contender for a one day test early next month, in an attempt to see just how the modern F1 cars work. |
