Which was the last F1 team to win its debut race?
I wonder whether is anyone out there who is able to answer this question?

Team? That depends on the definition.
Wolf had been around as a team prior to 1977 but not with their own car. Marlboro Team Texaco - Buenos Aires 1973, Denny Hulme in a McLaren M23 (but this was an existing team rebranded) Gold Leaf Team Lotus - Jarama 1968, GSH in a 49 (so was this) FISA - Reims 1961, Giancarlo Baghetti in a Ferrari 156 (works owned and prepared but entered and run by FISA) Which leaves: Daimler-Benz - Reims 1954, JMF in a W196 |

And Alfa Romeo. The 158 type won the first F1 race at Silverstone

The Alfa Romeo 158 won the first World Championship race at Silverstone.
This was NOT: 1 The first F1 race or 2 Alfa Romeo's first F1 race As D-Type pointed out, it depends on your definition, but the two contenders would be Wolf (who won their first race as a manufacturer in their own right, having previously attached their name to the old Williams cars) and Mercedes Benz. It always helps to ask the right question .... |

How many races did Theodore's Ralt have before Keke won the International Trophy? Was it all DNQs?

Good point Dan. I believe Melchester Racing is the correct answer to the question as it is posed.

We had British F1 then - were there any other F1 races in the world where local teams took part.
In fact anybody putting an F1 car into a libre race surely qualifies as a possible answer here! |

On the subject of Melchester racing team Manager Brian Morris is still living in Bromley and trying to set up a GT team using Aston Martins with his sons down to drive. The team will be called Melchester Racing!
