Likewise Terry! Wot MSV got at Snet for SC this year? Let me guess- something German with lots of 'bling', or a rabid (sorry, rapid) Renault?

Have MSV not bought some 400bhp M3s? Not sure who'll have more fun, the guys racing or the safety car driver!

Always! Much more atmosphere anyway. There was talk of paddock plan but havn't seen one. Weather supposed to be dry so fresh air good for me!

Garages were for Top Hat but looks like a few others have got into spare ones. I think Vince like his Capri in garage so can frighten the wildlife when his guys start it!

Sorry to hear that Roger. Latest news on flights not good and seems the 'cloud' is causing problems for a lot of people. Maybe wind will change direction today but even when it does will be chaos.

Enjoy yourselves folks. My season is unlikely to start this year due to working commitments. However the Capri is rebuilt and ready to be fired up if/when I get out of here!

Flying problems?

A certain Mr. J. Cleese, perhaps best known for a Flying Circus, apparently took a taxi from Oslo to Brussels and then caught the Eurostar to get home for the weekend.

Where there is a will there is a way.

Mind you, apparently it cost him 3 grand but hey, still cheaper than a Monaco or Le Mans entry ....

So, taxi from Moscow .... ?

Hmm.

Are you by any chance managed by C de G's missus?

The situation sounds familiar ...

Gutted

Another sunny Snetterton day, and good to catch up with several tenthers!

Sadly the Touring / Stars of 70s race, which was 'coming to me' according to a bystander (whatever that means!), finished abrubtly for me when after about 15 minutes the gear lever snapped off just above the ball. Was 6th at the time, and had closed right up on Mark Wright's Escort which was sliding about on it's own oil and looked a real handful. It was retired at the pit stop. When the lever broke it left me in neutral so pulled off onto inside at Coram well out of way. Rather than wait for tow at end of race a friend went to van and got some mole grips. With these clamped onto stub of lever got back to paddock through infield a lot sooner!

Dan Cox was sharing Vince W's Capri and put it on pole, followed by Wrigley (Escort) and the Scragg XJC. Young's CSL was 4th, followed by Wright, Laki Christophorou (Escort) and me 0.2 seconds apart. Race was won by Wrigley after the Capri started to slow later in race- eventually finishing 3rd with gearbox problems behind the CSL. Simon D's Turner was going well- but he can tell his own story!

Sorry for your troubles Mike - I'm new to the formula but I was quietly rooting for you after watching you test on Tuesday (my little boy loves the Escort - sorry if you found any sticky little handprints on it), so was wondering where you'd disappeared to come the end!

Anyway, thanks to all concerned for a great day out.

Good to see you Mike; sorry about your race; I saw you get back to the paddock under your own steam eventually. Sorry to Simon Drabble, Iain Rowley and Jim Woodley who I tried but failed to catch up with. Agree with Mike; let's hear your account. Will post some pics up in due coures.

It was great to catch up with some other Ten-Tenthers too!

May I also add that the safety car crew were not only talented, but handsome, witty, wise and elegantly dressed. (How many Brownie points does that get me?) Actually a super day, with great weather, just need more to come out and play.
