  • Rockenfeller: 3:28.406
  • Luhr: 3:30.613
  • Premat: 3.31.891
  • Ekstrom: 3.33.977

This explains why Ekstrom was selected as reserve driver. He did the least laps (23). Given the fact that he does not have any experience in single seaters, his lap time is not bad. It shows his impressive talent.

I am convinced the youngsters can still improve a lot.

Yep, they only need more testing. True that Ekström hasn't driven single seaters too, I almost forgot about that! Looking closer he's gone from Renault 5 Junior -> STCC -> DTM with a few WRC outings along the way.

Half of me wants to see Rockenfeller in the Nishy car , the other half wants the young ones in their own car .

I certainly believe that the young ones have a bit more in them , provided it doesnt rain !!!

I have also seen an article on the web that said that, but it wasn't as credible as those listed above. I wonder if the week of the race and week before the race has been mixed up?

The decision has been posponded, possibly until tuesday.... (in danish, but if you click the video link there should be a short interview with Dr. Ullrich (in english). Or, you could try this machine translation in english, which may or may not work ).

Tom will go through some tests on sunday and will host a press conference on monday in Copenhagen. His press officer won't guess on the outcome, but he says that it doesn't look hopeless. (in danish, english machine translation (which actually isn't too bad)).

They say a DTM is closer to a single seater than a sportscar, Kiesa said it was somewhere in the region of 'lots' better than an Aston DBR9.
