AlamakiRX should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Round 3 BTRDA/MDA Blyton June19th

Whilst the BRC are across the water, i thought i would start a thread off to see who is going to Blyton next weekend 19th.

Its the 3rd Round of the BTRDA/MDA/CDMC championship.

Who's racing?

Who's marshalling, watching?

Any chance we might see a Scooby debut.....?

Yeh hopefully be a good entry in all classes i know the entry in stockhatch was 11 cars on Friday, I would expect around 15/16 cars.

Other classes should be well supported although i noticed some autocross is on the same day in north east, might affect number of modified drivers.

I will be there marshalling.

Any idea of signing on time/contact details as nobody got back to me last event?

I'm guessing we will be ok to camp/sleep in the car there Saturday night as i'll be coming straight from Rally of the Midlands?

Cheers

Owen

Hopefully both Wakelings are out. Looks like the MG will be dusted down again.

what started out to be a wet miserable day , the sun came out and turned it in to a great day, some excellent racing.
unfortunatley as the day dried and the track got faster along came some crashes, one of the nora buggy drivers was taken to hospital after a nasty crash, john wood in the in his mr2 clipped the barriers coming on to the loose at about 70 to 80 mph went in to a barrel roll and as i was on his rear bumper at the time i had to react quick to stop him landing on top of me, so i had a luck escape as he crashed down and clipped the side of me, little damage to me but his car is a total wreck, luckily john is ok and walked away no problem, gary simpson also had a bit of a scary one coming to the finish line and ended up hitting the embankment, not sure how it happened but i hear quick movement from the finish marshall to get out the way and clean shorts required
looking forward to seeing the videos and pictures

Great days racing yesterday! Shame about the weather earlier in the day but dried up a bit later in the day! Glen guthrie looking extremely quick yet again and the wakeling mg has some serious grunt down the back straight but got out of shape quite a bit on the twisty bits causing a few offs. john wood also had a big roll that wouldn't of looked out of place in an action movie almost landing his car on top of john mooneys astra! I asume he wasn't hurt as he was in the pits later on. Also the white bmw (gary simpson) i think tried for a last corner lunge in the supermod final and almost took out the guy with the chequered flag!

Yes we had a good day in white E30 til last corner in Super Mod A Final. The MG in front of me ran wide and I went up inside to finish line but was touched on rear of car which turned me into the tyre wall! Bit of a shame but thats racing and accidents are bound to happen. Still managed to finish fourth somehow?

Have got some in car footage of the incident and will see if I can workout how to get it on line.

Gary

Moved quick as thought the driver wanted to come and wave the flag himself! Not bad enough for clean shorts, but think I'll go for post 9 next time.

Yes was watching that before we went out, not a good moment but thankfully John was OK.

With the weather conditions early on it was all credit to the drivers to keep on the track. As the weather changed we get faster, glad the buggy driver is ok and John to. Very disapointing for gary ( White BMW E30 ) excellent days racing ruined by no fault of his own.

I have seen the in car, the MG runs wide and leaves the door open, Gary straight for the flag untill the MG rams the rear quarter.

Racing incident ???? maybe but a shame and we got a big bill to sort it out

John

Thats a real annoying crash taken out and no fault of yours.
BTW are you comfortable in that seat position, you look too far away and it looks hard work to catch the slides, Cheers pat
